Lily Matson

Lily (she/her) is pilates instructor and cycling commuter who has reshaped her relationship with exercise from one of repetitive action that bored both her body and mind, to one of exploration and discovery.

She is consistently amazed by her body’s ever-evolving potential, as well as its ability to communicate. All it took was slowing things down, connecting mind and breath to movement.

By building and elaborating on the fundamentals that changed her body and her relationship with it, she continues to set clear goals for her lifelong pilates practice. It’s all about longevity and aging well. That may seem like a ridiculous thing for a 30-something year old to say, but it’s never too early to start preparing for the rest of your life!

This same philosophy — that Pilates is a lifelong practice and not a quick fix — is the approach she takes when partnering with her clients to identify their own strengths, opportunities and goals. No matter the focus, each session is an opportunity to better understand your body through movement within the studio, then transfer that knowledge to everyday life.
