Sahar Yarjani

Sahar (they/she) has been practicing yoga for over 13 years and has been a teacher for over 5 of them. Born in Tehran, Iran and raised in Vienna, Austria, Sahar moved to the US in 2011 to earn their master’s degree in International Human Rights.

Yoga and movement has had a powerful effect on Sahar's life so in that pursuit of bringing that others, they completed their yoga teacher training, Living Yoga's trauma-informed teaching program, 100-hour Yin training, 50-hour Aerial Yoga training, mat Pilates training, CoreAlign, and delved deeper into restorative yoga, Nidra, and meditation.

With a focus on intentional breathing and movement for mental health and our collective betterment, Sahar strives to leave every student that joins a class feeling nourished to move through the world. To Sahar, nothing feels better than taking that final collective breath together at the end of class and seeing everyone feel more at ease and present and content.

Their favorite thing about The Practice Space (since joining in 2022)?

The variety of offerings at The Practice Space provide a beautiful comprehensive practice for students. I really appreciate the culture and how teachers and students interact with one another and connect in and outside of classes.

Their favorite class to teach?

I have a lot of love for my Monday and Friday Slow Hatha class and students. We start and end our week together with some slow nourishing movements and deep breaths. It’s a lovely crew of folks I appreciate seeing weekly.
